Ashok D Pandey is a former professor & researcher in earthquake engineering at IIT Roorkee. His work majorly involved with earthquake analysis of structures like iddukki dam, narora atomic power plant, power house structures, earthquake analysis of dam structures (both gravity and rockfill dams) and fatigue analysis of railway structures. He has been one of the favourite teachers and mentors to many students in the institute & beyond. In this conversation, he shares a few insights from his experience about teaching, learning, the importance of nurturing curiosity and the necessity to think independently.
